In the immediate aftermath of World War II, the city of Denmark is still feeling the aftershocks of the Nazi occupation. Meanwhile, as gangsters gain a stronghold on the city and the local black market thrives, ambitious young reporter Bjarne Madsen sees an opportunity to expose corruption. When veteran crime reporter H.C.
