A Jewish drug dealer in Paris plans to start a new life in Tel Aviv, but finds that leaving isn't easy when he falls for a pretty girl who wants him to stay despite some serious mounting pressures. Alex (Pio Marmai) loves his life in the City of Lights, but lately his brother Isaac (Cédric Kahn) has been bleeding him dry. It seems as if no matter how long Alex keeps dealing, he'll never get out of debt to the demanding Isaac. A chance for escape arises, however, when Alex's cousin returns from Israel after completing his military service, and announces his plan to open a restaurant in Tel Aviv. Now if Alex can just raise some quick cash and reconnect with his Jewish roots, he can perform his ""aliyah"" and return to Israel. Breaking away from his current life won't be easy though, because in addition to maintaining close ties with his ex-lover Esther (Sarah Le Picard) and his best friend Matthias (Guillaume Gouix), Alex has just gotten involved with a girl named Jeanne (Adèle Haenel), and their relationship is turning serious. Realizing that any decision he makes will have serious long-term consequences, Alex finds his back against the wall, and prepares to take the next fateful step toward an uncertain future.~Jason Buchanan
